We’re here to help…
First of all, congratulations to both you and your partner! What a truly exciting time this must be for you.
Choosing your wedding venue is one of the most wonderful and joyous steps to take during your engagement – once it’s booked, you can really start imagining your happily ever after, and you can be sure that the rest of your preparations for your beautiful day will shortly follow.
With this in mind, your wedding venue should be the perfect setting to celebrate your personal love story while setting the scene for your special day.
So, to help you out as you embark on this exciting adventure, we’re talking all about the things to take into consideration when choosing your wedding venue.
Let’s get started, shall we?
A date in the diary:
As soon as you’re ready to embark on your journey, we recommend starting the wedding venue search fairly early on so that you avoid any disappointment.
When it comes to booking your dream wedding day, it’s also important to consider the season that you’d like to marry. Summer is often the busiest time of year, so if you’ve got your heart set on saying ‘I do’ in the British sunshine, then it’s best to check with your venue choices early on about their availability.
Other busy periods include school holidays, bank holidays and the magical festive period.
The style of your day and wedding venue:
Think about what you want from your wedding venue. Do you want a touch of classic elegance? Are you dreaming about a romantic and rustic day? Perhaps you love the thought of an outdoor celebration surrounded by sweet birdsong? The choice is yours here at Hooton Pagnell Hall and we have a number of wonderful options to suit all wedding styles, themes and colour schemes.
We love helping couples personalise their own day! We believe each wedding should be unique and this should be reflected across all aspects of your wedding.
Indoor or outdoor options:
Consider whether you would like an indoor wedding or an outdoor wedding celebration, and then double-check to see if your wedding venue can cater for your requirements.
We’re ever so lucky to have a number of different magical ceremony locations, yet also offer couples the chance to tie the knot outside, surrounded by far-reaching views of the South Yorkshire countryside.
Our extensive lawns and gardens also offer the perfect spot for you and your guests to enjoy Champagne, croquet and canapés.
Don’t forget about exclusivity! Hooton Pagnell Hall is an exclusive-use wedding venue, meaning you can have a full weekend of celebrating with your friends and family. Our exclusive-use hire allows you to relax and rest before your guests as arrive, creating a peaceful and familiar ‘home from home‘ ahead of the wedding day.
Have a talk with your partner about what sort of hire you would like from your venue, have a think about what you plan to do the evening before and any set up involved.
We suggest starting the venue search with an idea of how many wedding guests you’d like to invite. We will always ask how many guests you have in mind so that we can discuss the perfect setting for your ceremony, wedding meal and reception.
You may be seeking a day that is intimate or one that encompasses all of your friends and family. Either way, each celebration is unique and special, which is why we are delighted to take a bespoke planning approach to every occasion. We’re also proud that we have spaces to suit smaller and larger numbers.
Would you like a wedding venue with accommodation? This is particularly important if you have oversea guests or friends and family that will be travelling a long way. We offer 9 individually designed guest rooms which are all equally beautiful.
Hooton Pagnell Hall is also surrounded by further accommodation in the form of hotels and B&Bs, and we will gladly help put you in touch with more options, should you require them.
Don’t forget about the location!
Just off the A1, Hooton Pagnell Hall is easily accessible with ample space for parking. Yet, we’re still delighted to offer the privacy of an English country house venue.
Our magnificent hall also caters for both ceremonies and receptions, meaning your guests can relax knowing they don’t have to travel from venue to venue. We even have a private entranceway to the village church, All Saints Hooton Pagnell!
The bridal prep:
Does your chosen wedding venue cater to your requirements?
For instance, many brides would love to get ready at the venue, enjoying the morning with their bridal party while sipping on champagne and savouring the moment. Our spacious and elegant bridal suite offers the perfect space for you and your bridesmaids to get ready for your special day.
Truly for you:
Take into account the layout of your chosen venue and how this can work for your wedding day. After the ceremony, many wedding guests enjoy cocktails on the lawn while overlooking the rolling hills in the distance, before moving into the breath-taking Tithe Barn for dinner.
Hooton Pagnell Hall provides a vast space where guests can wander around at their leisure while you’re having those all-important wedding photographs captured. But most importantly, consider whether the venue feels like ‘you’. Can you imagine saying ‘I do’ at your venue?
It’s a huge decision and it’ll set the tone for your day, so make sure your choice is perfect and truly ‘you’.
We hope that our galleries, journal and weddings page will also give you a glimpse into a wedding day at Hooton Pagnell Hall. Furthermore, you’d like to find out more about us, or if you’d like to request a viewing, please do get in touch. We can’t wait to hear from you to discuss your day.
Remember, if you’re just seeking a little advice or inspiration, we would be more than happy to offer guidance. We understand that there’s a lot to consider as you embark on this magical and wonderful journey.
